Surfacing client admin tools for managing invoices, payment methods, and redemption account funding - legible to non-finance minded users while protecting client trust.

problem
When redemptions fail for client teams, companies notice immediately, and they don't call it an "account funding issue." They call it an emergency. The Admin Finance portal and Billing management was going to be the experience where those emergencies had to be prevented. To succeed we had to surface these tools to the right people and in a language that was free from confusing financial jargon.
solution
The Billing page handles four distinct jobs: payment method management, direct deposits (card/ACH), invoice requests, and Redemption Account context. These experiences map directly to how client companies fund employee rewards and were previously handled via email chains, phone calls, and snail mail correspondence. The Billing page brought these tools where admins could proactively manage their organizations’ funding health where they were already managing Redemptions - our platform.
Business Impact & Metrics:
The billing page went live in Beta on December 13, 2023 and reached GA on February 2, 2024. Since launch approximately 938 auto-bill invoices are generated monthly, alongside roughly 1,164 manually-funded top-up clients. Of all invoices, ~87% are now paid via Stripe. That means roughly nine in ten billing interactions happen within the platform.
